Monemvasia

My Monemvasia photos depict what is a medieval fortress town in Lakonia, Greece kept intact.

Monemvasia is also known as Malvasia, which some say was put by the Franks, and some others attribute to the Venetians. However Malvasia or Malvazia was also the name of very fine wine that was taken to the West, passing through Monemvasia. This wine is very aromatic, and probably Monemvasia owes to it its second name.

Further to these Monemvasia photos I had the opportunity to shoot some panoramic pictures which unfortunately cannot fit my gallery.
